Marie Giorda hails originally from Austin Texas where she received her BA from the University of Texas. She earned her MFA in playwriting here in New York at Columbia University under Eduardo Machado. Her plays include Uninvited, Waiting for River, The Bacchaettes, Roadkill - Trilogy Theater, NYC (dir. Ariel Nazarian), Strip - Horace Mann Theater (dir. Alex Lippard), and Dark Time of Day among others.
