Alessandra Hirsch is a graduate of Barnard College and the author Sevens: A Play in Eight Scenes, and the original TV pilot Spun. Recent casting credits include the current Broadway revival of La Cage Aux Folles (Longacre Theatre, 11 Tony Nominations), Chicago (Ambassador Theatre, 6 Tony Awards), A Contemporary American’s Guide to a Successful Marriage © 1959 (2009 NY Fringe Festival, Best of the Fringe Nomination), and numerous productions at Playwrights Horizons, The Women’s Project, The Huntington Theatre, and the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville. This fall, Alessandra will begin her studies at the Columbia University School of the Arts Playwriting MFA Program.
