Rosemary Thomas - From The Hip 2010
Rosemary’s first acting role was playing Rose in August Wilson’s Fences at the Abobe Theater in Albuquerque, NM. When several feature films were shot in New Mexico, she had the pleasure to work with Kim Basinger and John Corbett on Elvis Has Left the Building and with Adam Beach, Wes Studi and Paul Guilfoyle on Coyote Waits. She moved back to Albany, NY in 2006 and continued to pursue acting in various commercials, Industrials, PSA’s plays and got to work with Melissa Leo in Stephanie Daily. Rosemary did several shorts including Museum Scandals with teacher/director Sande Shurin the being the Ball & Chain Voice Over for the multi-award winner Distractions by Kevin Craig West and Candy by NYU talent Kiandra Parks. In Feb. 2009 she moved to Harlem to study at HB Studio and The New Federal Theater between auditions. Improv skills began with Acting on Impulse with Seth Michael May and later with Comedy Improv with Jed Mills. Rosemary has secured roles as a psychiatrist, a mom, a schizophrenic patient, a psychic, and the druggie mom of Coolio in Celebrity Close Calls. One of her more recent activity was a music video with the Grammy nominated group MGMT.
