Gillian Riley is excited to be directing for Left Hip Productions for the first time. Gillian is the artistic director of Snorks and Piñs Production which just rounded off their first season with a successful run of As You Like It. Gillian's most recent directing credits include Abnormal Psychology for The West Villiage Musical Theater Festival (where she won the award for best director), A Surprise from Mother performed at the Producer's Club and Edvard Munch's Happy Paintings at the Algonquin Theater. Her upcoming shows include The Man in the Iron Mask which will go up at the Jerry Orbach Theater and Menotti's The Telephone to be produced later this Fall. She was previously an assistant director at T. Schreiber studio and worked on the productions of The Real Inspector Hound and The Actor’s Nightmare. She also worked as the assistant director for Folding Chair’s production of Cymbeline. Gillian’s recent New York acting credits include: Violante in Double Falsehood, Julia in The Duchess of Malfi, Maria in Love’s Labor’s Lost, and Ellen Bond in Hyphen-Nation.
